Surgery Feb 10 on hip,
hip replacement..now in rehab dealing with complications.
Not serious, not life threatening. .... but quite upsetting mentally.

I need to pray, meditate, and reach out...........this too shall pass....

The hip actually has healed far better than anyone expected..
got to the computer here at rehab for some quality time....hope all are well..
Please send out some positve vibs...need them to deal with this..
got to live one day at time, one minute at a time.....I think I will be ok....

Thank You!!!!!!

Remember, you only need to cope with it for ONE 24-hour period at a time.

Holding you in the Light, wishing you strength and serenity!

3. I always get into trouble

when I start "futuring". for the longest time I had to consciously, and with some effort, drag my mind back to NOW.
At one point I learned to recognize when I got away from now, and to ask myself.."what is the next right thing for me to do, right now".
It worked. Pracrtice of many many many days has helped, but Step two is still a needed mantra, after many years.

so, whatcha gonna do for the next few minutes?

Must be a challenge to need pain medication when it can trigger cravings for a drink or to get high. Hope you have adequate pain coverage. It helps you rehab. Hope you are pain free for that matter and don't need any meds.

Then I stopped them.

Now, I am almost pain free. Physical therepy streches everything. And I am drinking lots and lots of water to deal with my complications.(problems going to bathroom).Hopefully that will work itself out..

Thanks for your support

Very happy to learn the physical pain has dissipated and you're off the pain meds. I have heard what a trigger they can be.

You are going to be OK. As you and others have said this will pass.

Sending you positive vibes and best wishes for a full and quick recovery.

one thing I've learned is that however you think your life sucks, someone has it worse. I know that sounds like convoluted logic, but take it as reassurrance that all is not lost.
