My husband started his radiation yesterday, so we are stocked up on all the biotene products, but I always want to know more.

Don't use the biotene until you start having dry mouth.

This pertains to cancer of the tongue/neck. I'm of little help for other types.

Today is only his second radiation. Perhaps you don't recall, but my husband has exactly the same thing you did.
Our first chemo is tomorrow.

went to 2 a day and have been on 1 per day for last 2 1 /2 years. I was down to only having 4 pills this week and panicked. Got a new prescription from my dentist just yesterday!

The top of my head gets warm and sweats about 1/2 hour after taking it and my nose runs, but I do think it helps with the dry mouth issue.

That makes me think my salivary glands weren't completely destroyed.
I am taking either one or two, three times a day. I am taking two in the morning, and one miday and night
