Does anybody here have experience with chronic sinus infection?

I take the antibiotics prescribed, and it goes away, but comes back after a couple weeks always in the same sinus as it’s annoying as hell. And I’m worried the infection could spread, although it never does. Thanks in advance for any advice

I have a Navage machine that works wonders. It is really good at clearing out your sinus cavities. I have tried Netipots with little results. The Navage machine is wonderful and it uses salt pods that are safe even if you have high blood pressure.

I had the ups and downs of bacteria, viruses, yeast. Sugar, dairy, cheeses caused inflammation. I reduced sugar for several weeks, stuck to harder cheese (swiss), and ate more animal protein. I kind of liked low carb grains too - oat bran, quinoa, whole wheat. I had more energy for the effort.

They reduce inflammation inside your nose which reduces mucus flow.

Also get some Mucinex or generic equivalent. It is a mucus thinner which can help get the blocked sinus drained

Sinus infections are very hard to cure because the sinus cavity is so self contained.

I started doing stuff like steaming; later adding the blue Mentholyptus (strongest) cough drops to the pot.
(Thanks "Electric Horseman" movie!)
Both esp adding the cough drops definitely reduced length, and sometimes the worst symptoms.
Gotten it usually on both sinuses at the same time.

About 25 yrs + ago I found (Boiron) homeopathic tablets for sinus problems. As soon as my initial symptom started - a sore throat I'd start using them.
Oh they helped so much ! Even more reduced length, and usually severity - often letting me have one open nostril at night for easier sleeping.

I don't think I had one on a few years even before covid. I'd reduced getting them from 2-4 X's/year to once every 9 months to 1 1/2 years.

Have had none these covid years either!

Good Luck! 👍

Get the cheep one in the white bottle. You spray it as a stream and the hard part is you have to pull it over the back of your sinus and spit the mess out. Andrew While reccomends that as you can have either mould or a microfilm that resists our immune system. The saline or other natural nasal sprays can break that up and allow your body to heal.
