Fuck Pennsylvania. I posted a few days ago about my friend who is diagnosed with A.L.S.
A.L.S., in my opinion, brings the shittiest process of death that I can imagine. She hoped to apply for physician assisted suicide as the disease progressed. But Pennsylvania does not have provisions for it.
Much better to drown in your own saliva.

(15,547 posts)Getting the buy-in money out and the physical strain and stress of moving make that difficult, if not impossible.
She is getting excellent medical care at the facility but that does not meet her fear of how she will die.

Wishing her good luck.

(5,166 posts)that's been prescribed for me. I think it will be important to get them all down fast, so I don't just fall asleep or go into a coma or something.
I have given up on DNR when I'm hospitalized because they installed this damn defibrillator.
I live in PA, too.
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
