Use live captions to better understand audio
A new app in Windows 11 allows deaf or hard-of-hearing people to view text of the audio in videos. (Live captions is only available in Windows 11, version 22H2)

It's not perfect, but it works pretty well. I suspect it will get better over time.

I've just downloaded and set up Live Captions, started a drama video on VLC player (it doesn't have subtitles) and the captions worked perfectly; synched with video, customisable look, colour, size.

Another favorite app of mine is voice typing, it's not perfect, but it works pretty well, it saves me a lot of time.
