Mr X endoscopy stressing

Week ago today. Results on the 15th. Got a message in his patient portal that he has Barretts Esophagus. He has a call in to the healthcare provider who ordered the test. Discussed results this morning with GP.

We're terrifies its cancer. His hands are shaking and my anxiety is skyrocketing. Awaiting a callback from provider who ordered the test. I cannot take one more thing. Worried lease wont be renewed.

I know that you already had some issues to handle so this can't be easy for either of you.

I have a passing knowledge of this because a friend of my parents’ was diagnosed with it back in the day. From what I remember, cancer was not frequently a result of it, and I think it was treatable.

Certainly not pleasant, I know. I could tell you not to worry, but being a worrier myself, I know how useless that advice is.

Hugs and positive thoughts heading your way.
