UPDATE on younger son: He's up to 15mg of Prozac, and I think an ADHD med will be added as well. On

the first day of school he was ok, but the next two he was already unhappy about school a bit. Firday he stayed home with a stomach ache. He gets them all the time at school. I am sure they are anxiety-related. Really need to talk with his counselor about this, as I don't want to go the same route as last year with absence after absence.

Also, he's still following in my footsteps of not being able to fall asleep at night, and then feel desperately tired and want to sleep all day. It's one of the many little things about him that make me suspect he will eventually turn out to be bipolar like I am.

Please send both my boys good vibes? They are both struggling in their own way, the older with PDD and the younger with ADHD and mood stuff.

this is such a long process to figure this out and to find the right treatment. hard on everyone, but kids can lose so much. school years go by so fast.

my little man is still pretty easily distracted (and is young for his age) so he hasn't come up with them on his own. Definitely need to work with the counselor on this, assuming we can get the kiddo to cooperate.

Everything is a fight. There is nothing he cannot turn into a raging debate. I told him he needs to be a lawyer when he grows up.

the husband has done a 180 since we moved out of our shithole cracker box, so my mood is much improved now that he's not depressed and paranoid.

i'm doing pretty well, the doc added abilify to my regiment and it's helping some, but we haven't found anything to really tamp down the anxiety and yammering thoughts. the damn committee in the back of my brain gets fired up and is so hard to shut down sometimes. i'm really stressed about money right now, so i'm sure that has something to do with it. last month was slim and this month will be even slimmer.

still, all things considered, we're doing well
