(24,728 posts)We've found beyond burger at Costco a reasonable facsimile, though.
That said - pile on the condiments, including pickles, cheese onion, shrooms. Something to juice and flavor them up.
Good luck!!Let us know how they turn out!

(8,445 posts)I'd actually rather have a veggie burger that doesn't even resemble a hamburger.

(8,445 posts)I can tell you that we appreciate when our veggie burgers aren't cooked in a spot where they'll get meat juices on them. My son usually cooks ours first and keeps them warm.

(658 posts)I've tried several of the vegi-burger brand burgerss. I really didn't like any of them except for the impossible burger. My wife and I ate at the only restaurant in Pensacola that had them several years ago. She ordered an Angus beef burger and I got the impossible burger. I tasted them side by side. There was initially a strange flavor associated with the IB, but that seemed to go away fairly quickly. After the taste test, I have to admit to enjoying the IB over the AB. I've since done the same taste test with the Impossible Whopper with the same result. I actually prefer the Impossible Whopper over the real thing.
I wish they would amp up production and start selling it at the local supermarkets. I'd eat it and would most likely replace real meat with them on occasion.
I've asked the local Burger King cashiers if the IW sells very well. They tell me that it's a hit around here. In a county where 70% of the registered voters are registered republican, the Impossible Burger is a hit. Go figure.
