(6,908 posts)My stomach would go on strike after caffeine and ibuprophen.
As I commented on another post, a mans got to know his limitations. 😂😂
Cinnamon toast and acetaminophen, here, with a 30-gram protein drink chaser.
Of course, with no caffeine Im ready for a nap again before lunch. Fortunately, Im a rare medical case where acetaminophen wires me and keeps me awake. In fact, I cant sleep after taking Tylenol and it gives me energy.
Long, rambling comments are the result. 😜😜🤣

(32,932 posts)best damn stuff! Inexpensive, natural. I take it whenever I've overworked myself in the gardens. WF has it, most drugstores, and Amazon.
You have to take it several times a day, though, and it takes a little while to get up to speed. Reduces inflammation, bruising, swelling.

(32,641 posts)Saw the Ortho lady. She took some pictures and sent me to Shri, the Rehab guy. He moved it around and said Frozen shoulder and gave me a couple of exercises. Was already better when Ortho lady told me a frozen shoulder.
4 cups of Java, 2 oz of smoked salmon and a slice of cheese. An hour nap and now up and ready for second pot of Java.
Good luck with the shoulder.

(35,622 posts)I'm going to see my chiro for a routine visit, but his practice is a few stores down from the bagel store I used to go to when I lived in that town (next town over).
I remember Mandy Patinkin used to sit outside with his newspaper and coffee. He was always friendly, with a smile in the morning.
So I might go there for an egg sammich.

(38,533 posts)Al's not awake yet, which isn't unusual (he has a different sleep schedule than I do). I intend to let him sleep all day if he wants to. It is hard on both of us, of course, to lose Cookie, but yesterday we buried her in the back yard. Digging a hole is hard for Al, who is partially paralyzed in his right shoulder.
As for me, well, the morning routine of getting the dogs out and fed made me tear-up quite a bit. Cookie used to follow me all around the kitchen as I worked. Physically, I still have some sleep to catch-up on. I only got about an hour on Saturday night. I was in bed by 9:00 last night and I slept until 7:30 this morning (!!!! late for me).
I hate to admit it, but as Cookie declined she became a lot of work. She couldn't control her bladder or bowels, and moving around the house in the morning was like avoiding land mines. I feel a little guilty about feeling relieved of that experience.
Did you see her picture? That sweet face? You know, Al used to breed these dogs (they're pure-bred Rat Terriers) and that beautiful girl birthed 37 pups. We still have the youngest two (Billy and Audry) who are 7 years-old now.
She was such a good Momma.

(32,932 posts)My last dog, Princess Peanut loved her some peanut butter-no I didn't name her.
Couple of months after she passed I finished the final PB jar, I put the last bit on my toast, then turned to give her the jar, just like I did for 10 years. I don't get PB any longer

So just black coffee for a change
FLFC is resting. He seems to be conserving his energy lately for going out. These shifting cool breezes we've had recently bring him assortments of aromas from afar. He seems to enjoy them very much.
