Chili and cornbread. Toppings on the chili are diced red onion and grated cheddar.
Tossed green salad with cucumber, tomatoes, and avocado.
Dessert: apple cobbler with raspberries and slivered almonds.
Decaf coffee.

Not sure of dressing yet.
We had BLT with fried egg late this afternoon so we are not very hungry. I believe that was the very last tomato from the back yard plants.
FLFC has snacked on various things but he's back asleep, so no menu for him.
Im on a bus heading back to NYC. I dont like to eat in public so Ill have a can of soup when I get home around 9:00.

(9,581 posts)And I also made some pea soup, with half a bag of stir-fry veggies (pureed in the blender), so I'll probably have a cup of that for dessert. I've been on a soup kick lately.

(24,334 posts)She used canned salmon from a food bank and just used a crab cake recipe. We've had them before and they are really good.
I just wish I had not seen the salmon when it came out of the can. It's not pretty.
