I followed a strict low-carb regimen for two years -- getting ready for my daughter's wedding, and now I'm living a little. Shrimp in lobster sauce over roast pork fried rice, fried dumplings and an egg roll.

I did, however, make a batch of sugar-free peanut butter cups. And tomorrow I'll throw together chef salads to balance out the carbfest. Oh, and I biked an extra mile today (making it eight).

Congratulations on that two-year's worth of discipline. The Chinese meal sounds w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l!

Seared scallops with lemon pasta. I had truffle salt for the scallops!

Was terrific.

For the sauce (no cook):
Separate two eggs. Using the yolk only, whip them as you would for mayo then add about 5 tbsp 1/2 and 1/2. Chili flakes, lemon zest and juice from half a lemon. Add butter to the cooked pasta. Combine most of the sauce with cooked linguine stirring well with some pasta water too.

Plate and use reserve sauce on top of each mound of pasta. Garnish is parsley and parm.
