1. Coffee, biscuits, omelet with sausage, mushrooms, and mozz.

2. Coffee with cream now

Kodiak pancakes with blueberries and Canadian bacon later.

4. Just got up.

Sitting here sipping my water and mocha with a splash of eggnog. Husband is sleeping again, and will let me know what he wants for breakfast when he gets back up.

a little later some homemade granola, mixed berries and yogurt

6. From the newly awakened husband...

almost as soon as he opened his eyes, it seems I'll be making sausage gravy with biscuits this morning.

7. Well thanks for the idea

I made some biscuits yesterday but they were the wrong kind. I said now what do I do with them?

I wanted shortbread to go with strawberries.

So sausage and gravy, hmmm. I can probably have one third of a biscuit on my carb allotment. 🥺

Maybe I’ll do the old “hollow out the middle” trick.

9. He could have it more often than I'm willing to make it.

I end up making this for him maybe once a month. But every week on our grocery/errand run, he insists on McD and has a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. He could have their sausage gravy and biscuits, which I reminded him this past week. I've had it before and it's pretty good. They use Bama biscuits, which are very good and the gravy is a tad on the spicy side.

With my lack of appetite, I might eat a half a biscuit, but always make enough so he can have it for a few days.

10. Idea

Teach him how to make the gravy and biscuits, and then he can have them as often as he wants!
