My Gram used to make Icebox Surprise

She melted marshmallows, added crushed pineapple, and whipped cream, and froze it in ice cube trays, with the metal sections taken out.

I had fresh pineapple, wasn't sure I could make her version. But I had vanilla ice cream, marshmallows and coolwhip, so I made a pineapple sundae with marshmallows and cool whip. Pretty tatsty

Fresh pineapple, due to enzymes, often doesn't play well with others if too much time is involved; best to eat it quickly after introducing it to others.

I think it might have been Sealtest, but I'm not sure. It had coconut, pineapple, cherries, marshmallow cream and, maybe bananas, in the most amazingly smooth ice cream. I still miss it.

My Dad sold Sealtest at his store, between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Long time ago
