What's for Dinner ~ Thursday May 23rd - Still Awake Edition

Well the Nuvigil definitely keeps me awake, I still haven't slept, but I felt awful all day yesterday! I finally realized it may not have been a problem with the medicine. We both seem to have some sort of wimpy - but still makes you feel crappy - bug, and I get a little queasy when I try and lay down. I'll give the Nuvigil another try when I feel a bit better.

So.... breakfast this lovely rainy morning is a big honking cup of ALKA FLU, after some yummy but not too exciting garlic bread for dinner last night (well around 1 am this morning)

Not sure what we will have today - it will depend on how we are feeling later. Maybe just a simple soup and some more bread.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

....and I realize that it might be useless. But have you considered visiting with an "alternative" health care provider? Some people I know who have seemingly intractable difficulties have found relief with non-traditional medical care.

Just a thought. You suffer more than a person should have to.

My GP is great, and she has tried a lot of things, but I seem to be getting nowhere.
Thanks for suggesting it. Great minds think alike eh? ♥

Green beans as a side.

I hope that you feel better very soon. This must be annoying to the extreme!

Bill made a pan of King Ranch ( shredded chicken, rotel, cream of chicken, with added veggies (onion garlic etc)) into enchiladas and topped with cheddar and then baked.

And thankie! I am really tired of feeling like this. ♥

These turned out very well. I'd made them once before and didn't follow the recipe carefully; subsequently, they did not hold together. This time I followed the recipe and they did. The recipe recommended the usual burger fixins: lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard.

The recipe called for mashing the beans and then adding such ingredients as onions (I used scallions straight from the garden), garlic, mushroom, soy, Worcestershire sauce, cumin). Let the flavors blend in the refrigerator for 30" or so, and then:

I gave mine a nice brown on both sides.

And topped them with lettuce, roasted tomato, sliced red onion, and cheddar cheese. Served them with small potatoes in herbs and broth.

Raspberry smoothie for dessert.
