Scored the first local strawberries!

I found the first of the local strawberries at the farmers market today--they're so yummy and fragrant compared to store strawberries. I bought three quarts. After we stuff ourselves silly with them, I'm turning the rest into jam.

That's one big plus for local markets - perishables go from field to market or local outlets.
