The National Guard have been dropping food to Coloradans stranded in the mountain communities and on the plains while they have been waiting, some five or six days, to be rescued by the big chinooks.

One of our "gourmet" food trucks drove around Boulder today passing out free hot food to the folks trying to drain the water out of their homes and dragging their precious, now ruined, belongings to the street.

And our pets, lamas, horses, cattle, are being taken to shelters and fed until their guardians can care for them.

Caring always goes along with food.
