Related: About this forumOff topic....but looking for tablet suggestions.
My sister has a 10.1 inch quadcore Acer tablet that I really liked. Fast and streams movies and video really well.
I was also just reminded that I did enjoy using my friends ipad a few years ago.
I prefer a 9 inch or up screen, and enough power to play movies without hiccups. An extra storage slot option would also be good. If I buy a more expensive brand, I'll look into factory refurnished, so all price points are welcomed, as long as it has a good screen and decent battery life...
Anyone have any recommendations for me?

I'm old and not tech savvy so I like Microsoft Windows.

They are more tech savvy and can probably steer you in the right direction.

(31,170 posts)so I posted here. We have lots of DU lurkers and I figured my question would be more visible in here. AND GD is always such a bloodbath lately that I didn't want to post there.

I don't DU on it because I really need a real keyboard, but I use it for lots of other things, including downloading cookbooks.

Not real expensive.
There are others too, including more standard sized ones. They are all Bluetooth capable for iPad (they have to be).

(146,218 posts)I really like my MacBook Pro and use it for anything that involves typing (like DU).
The IPad I use for reading and for any applications that use swiping (or whatever you want to call it).
And I'm rarely actually sitting in front of a surface where I could put something.

(971 posts)I have a Nexus 7, but I sort of wanted that size, because I use it for navigation and Contact storage a lot. It also is a dandy e-reader, and a good internet reader. They have a 10 inch version for those of you that want the larger size.
