Veg smoothies

I like quite a few vegs but don't eat enough. Had a lot of carrots, cooked them, and put in blender, one batch with orange juice and another with V-8 juice. Not bad as smoothies. Any other ideas that would make veg juice or smoothies that taste good? Thanks.

I add some fresh fruit, usually berries to add some sweetener. I've tried yogurt and honey, too. pinto Nov 2013 #7

I have a few cookbooks on that topic. When I've got a few minutes, I'll look the titles up and maybe post a few recipes--if they don't make it too difficult to copy and paste.

...mostly fruit but added some hericot vert (sp?) -- or what I would call young skinny green beans.

It was delicious! Here's the recipe:

1 banana
8-9 strawberries
1 apple
10-12 hericot vert
1/4 c plain greek yogurt
2/3 c plain soy milk
1 tsp wheat bran
1 tbsp wheat germ
2-3 tbsp agave nectar
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Blend until smooth. Makes 2 smoothies.

Yes I know it's mostly fruits not veggies. We do eat lots of veggies anyway. This was really good. No reason one could not add different veggies like carrots instead of or in addition to the green beans.
