And we're going to have a nicely broiled rib eye steak!

Not sure what else at the moment...

It just depends on what I find in the refrigerator...

just caught by my bestest girlfriend in the Sea of Cortez.

We are going to slice it thin and eat it raw!!

She is beside herself with delight and I am the grateful recipient of her wonderful day.

She had a great time and the owner of the place we are staying agreed to serve it up for us.

We don't have a lot of pix, but we definitely have memories.

The recipe for which came from one of my cooking magazines--this one specializes in artsy food photography. So I have to wonder about this recipe because it calls for 1.5 lbs of New Mexico chili peppers AKA serranos.

I just had to call RG about this. He told me to cut it down to 2 serranos and use a bell pepper (green).

I cannot imagine a soup that makes 8 servings with 1.5 lbs of chile peppers in it.

I cut up a whole fryer and soaked the pieces in buttermilk for 24 hours. Drained, seasoned, dredged in flour, and fried in my cast iron skillet. Just like grandma used to do it. Far better than anything you'll get at the drive through.

Sugar snap peas steamed and lightly seasoned with salt, pepper, and sesame oil. A simple garden salad with an equally simple vinaigrette along with some left over potato salad finished it all off.
