(106,886 posts)Browned chicken sausages in olive oil. Red wine, tomatoes, salt and red pepper flakes to finish the sausages. Set aside and sliced. Sweet onion, bell pepper, carrots, asparagus, garlic simmered in the red wine / tomato / chicken sauce. Basil, tarragon, parsley and oregano. A bit of sugar.
Tossed together to scoop into a bowl. Crusty bread and butter for dipping.

(28,504 posts)First time making it. Smells good but it's kind of a weird recipe so we shall see.

(50,130 posts)...made with just fresh lime juice, cumin, Gebhardt chili powder and avocados. Served with home-fried tortilla strips, some frijoles, pretty good cherry tomatoes, black olives, chunks of jack cheese from Wisconsin that I really like, romaine spears and Litehouse jalapeno-ranch dressing. A deconstructed taco salad, I guess it was.
And popsicles for dessert. Today was our first day over 70 degrees. Beautiful, beautiful!

the heaping pile of guacamole with some
chips. I think I could live on that. lol

(35,746 posts)Wow, grasswire, that sounds like the super luxury version of guacamole!
I wasn't up for much tonight, as I had a tough day. I made a toasted bagel topped with BBQ beef and cheddar. Also chopped salad with yellow pepper, shallots, Persian cukes and green ruffled lettuce.
Teensy piece of milk chocolate for dessert.

(50,130 posts)I like them, although I usually end up with an English cuke and in the summer I buy cukes at the farmers market.
