We even found a nice gluten free bread for hubby. He is allergic to wheat and we have searched high and low for a decent bread to use. We finally found a great bread.

we're at least a month away I think.

Everything was slow this year between the terrible winter and cool, wet spring nothing got planted on time.

My family scooped out the tomatoes and mixed it with celery and not sure what else, just remember it was delicious using homegrown Indiana garden tomatoes.

Using tuna, mayo, celery, hard boiled eggs, and the gooey stuff (seeds & stuff) in them.

But the best part is still the vine-ripened, fresh from the garden, REAL tomato. Not one of those picked-while-green, shipped halfway across the country, gassed to redness, tasteless abominations from the grocery store. Talk about vegetable hate crimes...

told me to stay away from tomatoes. I generally try to follow rules especially ones that keep me out of the hospital for example, I finally quit smoking to which my GI doc (greatest in our area) shouted about dang time. So in an effort to try to stay with- in the rules, I cut the skin of the tomatoes off and try to make sure some of the seeds don't end up in my cheesy sammich but that leaves the meaty goodness. which is just find for my sandwich.

Sadly the tomatoes I had are gone so is my gilled cheese and tomato lunch for few weeks.

they do tend to activate the areas in m tummy that like to act up but hell, I hurt anyway most days, I figure I might as well eat what I want sometimes.

Keeping healthy with Crohn's is more keeping your system in check. Eat the right foods, no smoking, avoid stress (hah) exercise get treatment. I have had to go to my infusion/chemo treatments every 4 weeks now. IT has seemed to make a huge difference and (knock on wood and Prayers of thanks to God) I only spent 8 hour in the ER this past school year. This is a major improvement of years past. I pray that tend continues.

For now, I will take some pain to eat a couple of tomatoes during the summer.

A nice slab of tomato between two slices of buttered toast is pure heaven. I don't eat bread anymore and tomatoes trigger my migraines, but once every August, I say the hell with it and make myself a perfect tomato sandwich.
