400 oven for half an hour. Yum! (we had it with Bangan Bartha - 4th time I've made it this summer - our eggplant just won't quit - and some black rice. Vacation was great - the food in Seattle and area was yummy - but I missed my veggies and kitchen!)

thanks for that link - will definitely try some of them out.

don't remember if I replaced a third or half of the bread flour with cauliflower but I do remember it came out pretty good.

is definitely worth checking out. Beautiful photography. Blogger does a nice job and is really into baking experimentation.

This will definitely be something I'll try in the next few weeks.

Glad you're back, NRaleighLiberal. Missed your posts, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Sauteed, broiled, on the BBQ, fresh with a dip, in a soup, in a salad, steamed with a cheese topping, etc. These look good.

6. made the cauliflower quiche crust

I wanted to make something I could take with me in the car when I have to rush out the door in the morning next week (back to school), so I made the cauliflower crust and then put in the quiche mixture, as specified by the recipe.

The crust turned out just fine. At first I thought I goofed it up, but it turned out to be OK. I thought I spread it too thin, but I didn't. In a few spots, where it was very thin, it turned a crispy brown.

In fact, next time I think I will spread it a bit thicker, just to see what that's like.

The quiche had fresh spinach, roasted peppers, onion, and garlic in it. Cheddar cheese and parmesan. I topped it with slices of one of my heirloom tomatoes. I also added a little ham.

Very pretty and very delicious.

I look forward to trying some of the other recipes, too.
