what's for dinner - sunday, march 8

i'm going to do another batch of the panko-crusted chicken fingers. i haven't come to a firm decision on a side yet, but i'm leaning toward roasted cauliflower and carrots. maybe some brown rice.

happy sunday, all

http://www.food.com/recipe/crispy-panko-chicken-cutlets-257404.

all the recipes are basically the same, just the herbs/spices vary. they can be baked or fried, i prefer fried and you can have a lot of fun with dipping sauces.

The shanks are braising in the oven right now (3 hrs, 325F). Once they cool, I'll pull the meat and make the pie.

Yum!

I can't believe I forgot about that. I'm sitting on 30 pounds of potatoes (well, not literally), and was stuck in soup/mashed/baked potato mode.

mac and cheese, and German Chocolate cake with runny coconut-pecan goo (see my OP)

sigh. normally it wouldn't matter, but it is the Husband's birthday.

Leg is unchanged, which could generate a very long and pissy rant, but I will refrain in your thread.

I will just say people schedule vacations at times that are really inconvenient!
