Kick off the Weekend Friday Night What's for Dinner, May 29

Tonight I'm going to cook up odds and ends, as the RG is returning from a trip tomorrow and I know he will be bringing me all kinds of goodies!

So I'll have cold chicken and cold beet/toasted walnut/gorgonzola salad from my most beautiful lettuce garden ever.

And some chicken sausages, if that's not enough.

Maybe some broccoli, too.

Dessert, well, tonight will be gelato. I can't recall the flavor, but it has nuts in it and it's delicious!

I also have some pinot grigio chilled and Mike's Mangoes, too.

Monthly lunch meet up with a good friend. Left overs will make a good egg scramble tomorrow morning.

So tonight - probably a baked potato, butter, chives, sour cream, black pepper. There's Pepperidge Farm "Sausalito" cookies for some time later...

(where is the "feeling sorry for self" smilie?) and not many lettuce lovers. Fortunately, almost everyone loves all kinds of greens, cabbage, spinach and most other vegetables, but I wish others liked lettuces, endives and other tender greens.

with a cucumber-tomato salad. Also, I just had to saute up some mushrooms for the steak. Because it's Friday.

Was out to lunch with one of my favorite cousins for girl talk. Shrimp salad and herby bruschetta.
