and you don't actually need to drown them in oil. A little dab'll do ya, just enough to keep them from welding to the frypan.

I'd be afraid the frozen latkes would be too much like those packs of frozen hash browns, light on onion and with an off flavor from overused cheap oil.

have to squeeze water out, with each batch, after processing, then form them, place on pan with oil, watch each one carefully for done-ness on each side, store in oven and on to the next batch!

As I was informed the Trader Joe's variety is really good by a neighbor who with his wife appears to be close to a gourmet chef, I don't doubt that they are VERY good, NOT like the frozen hash browns. I hope to find some, and will advise!

They were good enough, along with the mandarin orange chicken from the TJ freezer case. I don't like everything TJ sells frozen; just seems like more processed food and I don't like to eat processed food. I do like the mandarin chicken, and I do like the battered cod filets. I do NOT like the falafel.
