Related: About this forumI've been informed that Trader Joe's has wonderful frozen potato LATKES,
for those who'd like to avoid the labor- and oil-intensive home-made version!

I'd be afraid the frozen latkes would be too much like those packs of frozen hash browns, light on onion and with an off flavor from overused cheap oil.

As I was informed the Trader Joe's variety is really good by a neighbor who with his wife appears to be close to a gourmet chef, I don't doubt that they are VERY good, NOT like the frozen hash browns. I hope to find some, and will advise!

(50,130 posts)They were good enough, along with the mandarin orange chicken from the TJ freezer case. I don't like everything TJ sells frozen; just seems like more processed food and I don't like to eat processed food. I do like the mandarin chicken, and I do like the battered cod filets. I do NOT like the falafel.
