Related: About this forumJulia Child's Berry Flan
This recipe is for a delicately sweet dessert whose elegance should not distract from its ease. It can be made while the rest of dinner is in the oven. Make sure you have fresh berries, and serve the result warm. Weve asked here for blueberries or blackberries, but feel free to try it with whatever seasonal fruit catches your eye.

My mother used to make a dessert that was almost like this. She always used fresh ripe peaches. She called it a "peach long cake". as opposed to a regular short cake.
Haven't thought about this recipe in years, think I will make it in a few weeks when the Parker County peaches are ripe.
