(16,038 posts)It is amazing how many out here on the plains have never eaten lamb. I serve leg of lamb every Easter at the restaurant, many lamb lovers come for that and many more have tried lamb for the first time then. Last week I participated in a fund raising event where local chefs prepare appetizers and a wine authority pairs wine to the dishes. I served baked pita with edamame humus, a lamb slider, top[ped with mint infused olive oil...many of the guests had never tasted lamb before...it was a hit.
I'll try the chili sometime, it sounds good.

(130,895 posts)He's a New Yorker, 98 years old, and somehow lamb got his attention; roast leg of lamb one of his favorite dishes. Was so even after they moved from NYC suburbs, where they COULD cook it on outdoors grill, to Florida, where oven was the only mechanism. I suspect he's not had any in the residence where he's living now, tho.
