Was busy all morning and didn't want to cook a big meal, so raided the fridge for leftovers. Had some Rolladen and Chili Spaghetti. Found an ear corn, enough corn for two, so cut it off the cob and sauted it. Made some carrot and cabbage coleslaw and sliced a ripe tomato, Even had some homemade vanilla ice cream in the freezer, served up sliced strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Not bad for a raid on the fridge.

There was a lot of gravy left from the rolladen and I mixed it in with the kibble when I fed my dogs, My little one liked it so much, she licked the bowls for 20 minutes.

Sometimes you can work a terrific meal from them, like you did here.

My little one liked it so much, she licked the bowls for 20 minutes.

Funny and cute when they do that.

But when it's in the morning and they're licking their empty bowl from last night, it gives me the guilts like nothing else can!

No time to do any elaborate cooking today, so with some leftover chili - it's chili dog day. I'll just forage for anything else.

ps: Cher - my turn for computer woes. My primary hard drive failed a few tests, which said it is on the verge of crapping out. Just ordered a replacement. When it arrives, I expect a full day of headaches rebuilding the OS and transferring my files. (Fortunately, I have a secondary HD to backup my personal files, but not the OS.)

Whatta PITA. But, last time this happened, it was 2006, so 10 yrs isn't so bad.

and you will love the speed and efficiency of your new computer. Yep, at least a day setting all that up.

As much as I've hated the work from these upgrades, I sense that Microsoft is getting their act together a little better and things are starting to return to normal. The features from the upgrade are pretty nice.

So re your hard drive failure, I dont' know whether to say I'm sorry or congratulations!

another Blue Apron meal. The marinated cucumbers had a ton of flavor but there just wasn't enough to carry over into other parts of the meal. The ginger flavor didn't come through like it usually does and the dish could have used more of the mushroom broth. It wasn't bad but definitely needs tweaks for our taste.
