So I am in the market for a new bundt pan and I wanted to know what y'all thought abt silicone

I need to make some banana bread and a hot milk cake and I can't find my bundt pan anywhere.

Do you guy have one that you love? I am completely open minded at to aluminum or caramic or silicone.

I don't like silicone because nothing browns. I guess that doesn't matter if you frost it, catbyte Mar 2017 #3
You can also cook a full meal on a bundt pan. Put a bit of oil in the bottom. applegrove Mar 2017 #4

but most bundt cakes aren't. I'd look for a heavy aluminum one. The reason why is that I've got a vintage one that my mom got in the 1960's and it's awesome. Maybe look on eBay for a vintage pan. I've gotten some great cookware there that you just can't get anymore. The light aluminum ones are no good, imho.

Raw chopped veggies in the bottom. Season a small chicken. Cover the hole with aluminum foil. Stand chicken up over the hole. Cook. I have not tried this but it looks promising.

especially when you're putting it into the oven, and that can mean oven spills with batters.

Personally, I'd go for a cheap nonstick one and just keep an eye on the coating and replace it when it needs it.

I bought a heavy alum one to replace it and I use it more often. Maybe Williams Sonoma has a well reviewed one? Or Amazon?
