What's for Dinner, Thurs., June 29, 2017

Left to my own devices, it will be cold stuffed peppers, taken to work in a plastic container and consumed while browsing my notebook while the students head off to the cafeteria. Or if it's still nice outside, I may go sit on a bench, dine, and read a book.

However, the RG is finished with the Fancy Food Show at the Javitts today, so he may have something delicious for me when I return around 9. I do know one thing: I'll be ending whatever this mystery meal will be by having some Haagen Daz "zesty lemon" sorbet.

Ham stock and ham ends from the freezer and plenty of carrots, celery and onion. TJ is out shopping, so there may be something else for dinner, but my plan is to add a salad and garlic toast.

Gotta chop the salad to minimize chewing.

I got the go ahead to ramp up slowly to normal food!

I am IN.
We're doing swordfish and shrimp in the grill pan, green beans and potato salad, all seasoned with thyme, lemon juice, and garlic. And I have a ripe peach here that I'll have for dessert...haven't had one in years.
