I USED to cook for my family, but they're 'far gone!' I do appreciate when they ask me for one of my 'old' recipes!

I cook by taste more than by recipe and I couldn't taste anything. Now it has gotten better but I still pretend it's bad, so I don't have to cook as much.

But I do get in moods where I make everything from scratch (sauces, breads, noodles, etc..) and have a little fun - before going back to my now default.

Also, the older I've gotten the less it thrills me to cook for hours, even days, only to have a meal last less than 30 minutes.

In Germany, dinner could last 4 hours. I miss that. (and I can't convince people around me how much fun it is)

The sauce is simple. Pan drippings, lemon juice & bit of flour to brown the chicken first or to thicken the sauce.
It is divine!
