...with cream cheese, sliced black olives, pecan slivers, cranberry sauce.

YUM love sushi! Do you make your own? We intended to make smoked salmon sushi and spam sushi but forgot to buy the Nori sheets.

From Fuchsia Dunlop's "Every Grain Of Rice."
A good friend is in Hangzhou right now and sent photos of his meals. That was what got me going.

I made a lot.
Unfortunately, I just ate it all.

UGH!!

and, it's from a sub shop down the road. I fixed a bunch of things around the house, so I'll take a break from cooking tonight.

butcher's stew meat chunks. tenderized. sprinkle flour. brown in butter, add onion powder + lemon pepper. bit of soy sauce, bit of kitchen bouguet. add water & more flour & cook for an hour or so til tender. she loved onions, but never added onion or the lemon pepper. i had an old ethnic cookbook. think its latbian. did something way more complicated. wait. this tastes like autie's beef w/ onions. better. rychly beef? w/out hassles.
