Fresh-baked meatloaf (made this afternoon) for tonight. It's going to be served on ciccioli bread and topped with a fried egg.
Roasted vegetables, meaning carrots, zucchini, red peppers, and eggplant. These we didn't do ourselves, just got them from the WF salad bar. But they are nicely done.
Dessert--not sure about that at the moment.

(32,973 posts)I do not have lemon grass stalks, but I do have lemon grass leaves in a spice jar, my only substitution. I'll make brown Jasmine coconut rice and roasted green beans. And...the usual decafe cold tea.

(1,706 posts)about New Orleans ... a seafood pot pie. Shrimp and crab simmered in heavy cream, with a little tomato paste, Old Bay and cayenne, served over squares of puff pastry. My son will make Caesar salad from his grandfather's recipe. We have a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that I think will go with it nicely.
A bowl of leftover chili with cornbread slices on top covered with melted pepper jack cheese.
