Easy Breakfast Jar recipe.

So, this is my breakfast most days of the week. As anyone who has ever met me will tell you, I'm very much not a morning person. It's as much as I can manage to get my clothes on, shoes on, cell phone in my pocket, and out the door. I can't eat when I first wake up, and I sure can't even think about preparing something, so this is perfect for me, and super easy. I toss it together and toss in the fridge overnight and bring it in to work the next morning.

It is super easy to customize this recipe, as well. You can use the frozen fruit of your choice (mixed berries or cherries are my favourite), or fresh fruit when they're in season. You can also use fruit preserves, jams, or jellies. You can omit the peanut butter or replace it with the nut butter of your choice (I've been using almond butter, but I think I'll go back to peanut butter). Also, you don't have to add the chia seeds, but I sure do love them. They had a nice texture, and they're really really good for you, too.

I have tons of ways I like to eat it (and I do make both regular and Greek)... But my go to, stick to your ribs from early morning to late lunch is 2% yogurt with some peanut butter (natural only, please), 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, and a few pumps of DaVinci sugar free peanut butter syrup.

Sometimes I stick in the freezer a little while. Yummy. Very high protein and fiber.

I don't know how people eat those super processed hydrogenated oil, sweetened, whipped "peanut butters." They don't even taste like peanut butter to me. We always get the plain natural peanut butter, and it's delicious. I can't go back

With oats and blueberries. If you use applesauce and cinnamon, it almost tastes like apple pie!

Eaten around 10:00, of course. I can't think about food until I've been up a few hours.

I can't eat anything when I first get up. I can't even think about food. This is perfect for me, because I can let my walk to work (about 25 minutes) kick up my metabolism and appetite, and then I get a yummy breakfast full of fruit, yogurt, oats, and chia.

I've tried a bunch of fruit combinations. My favourite is the frozen raspberries (because yum, raspberries!), but it's so easy to switch up. The frozen cherries (we used them in the video) worked really well, but the frozen fruit mix I got that included kiwi... yea, not so much. It's trial and error.

rolls out of bed and eats a substantial breakfast right away. He's always asking me "Haven't you had breakfast yet?"

Of course I have to have my coffee right away!

I'll have to try frozen raspberries. I love raspberry anything.
