On Eating Alone in Paris

Why should a meal on our own be uninspired or scarfed down as if consumed on the shoulder of an interstate highway? The joys of a table for one.

While I have generally been with a companion at mealtime in Paris, I have still taken many meals solo over the years. Have spent over 18 months total in Paris through the years, so that means a lot of meals. More often, the solo meals were during extended business trips. I have spent a lot of time just walking the streets of Paris over the last 45 years.
