What's for Dinner, Mon., Nov. 26, 2018

First course is chicken soup made with butternut squash pasta. The pasta is shaped like little pumpkins. Tasted it as I walked in the door: ummm! Also has carrots and celery. Parsley over the top.

Then meatballs in spicy tomato sauce topped with chopped red peppers. Tasted these, too, and can't wait to have more.

I made a tossed green salad earlier in the day, so that will go with the meatballs for the main course. I made chipotle dressing for the salad, which has the usual chopped vegetables like green pepper, shaved scallion, and even sliced fresh turnips from my garden! And my own home-grown carrot, too. It was only 3 inches long; I planted them in mid-August.

Dessert will be something simple like pineapple and banana topped with chopped, toasted macadamias.

Tonight I'm making https://www.budgetbytes.com/slow-cooker-pineapple-teriyaki-chicken/. And rice.

Do I always cook from this website? Yes I do! Just about always. It's one less thing to worry about.

No dessert, I don't think.

I've made so many of the recipes and they are so good, economical, tasty, and easy!

My son recommended it to me about a year ago. Do you have any favorites? My family loves the Easy Oven Fajitas.

Her food is creative but it's soo good for families. Not too creative. It all gets eaten!

Everything has been great, but I love her Southwestern recipes best. And the "All You Can Eat Cabbage Soup". I make that one every week for our lunches.

With Stovetop stuffing, gravy from a jar, and steamed broccoli. Boring, but it gets the last of the turkey used up.

Shrimp cocktail salad on green leaf lettuce with thinly sliced red onion, quartered pearl-sized tomatoes and horseradish cocktail sauce garnished with lemon.

Angel hair pasta with white clam sauce and grated Romano cheese.

Cookies and Sambuca.
