Related: About this forumTonight's dessert: cranberry/orange oatmeal cookies
Not from scratch. I used the Betty Crocker envelope of cookie dough mix.
In place of the 1 tbsp of water, I used 1 tbsp of orange juice (freshly squeezed)
I added the zest of one orange and 2.5 oz of sweetened dried cranberries.
They're quite tasty. I think next time if I have the option, I won't use "sweetened" dried cranberries. The cookies were sweet enough.

(22,759 posts)I love to bake but don't eat the stuff this morning I cleaned the fridge and used homemade applesauce to make 'Applesauce Bundt Cake' ...now I'm trying to get rid of it
I put it out there on our local daily social forum... waiting for someone to snatch it

(35,792 posts)good idea, MissMillie. Gonna' try that as soon as I can get the cookie mix. (Way too lazy to make anything from scratch.) I use those cookie mixes to make chocolate chip and snickerdoodles. E-Z.

(38,597 posts)to make pumpkin/cranberry oatmeal cookies. It's pumpkin time of year, after all.
It seems to me that if I add pureed pumpkin, I would need to increase flour and/or oatmeal to be sure to get the right batter texture.
