Just frozen pre-made hamburgers, lots of fresh condiments and my wife's home-made golden potato salad. I am looking forward to the nice fresh hamburger buns, which are a rarity with the limited frequency shopping we do. We get home delivery, so it's hit and miss on freshness, but yesterday we got lucky.

been heaven for me. Dealing with dietary issues and have instructions to limit my dairy intake for awhile. I haven't had a pizza in over a year and could eat the whole pan!

I shouldn't be eating so much cheese either, and this one was loaded. I do tolerate the hard cheeses (parmesan, swiss), better than the creamy ones.

Monday is sale day at our local supermarket. We grabbed some discounted goodies.

Sirloin steak, broiled and served with sautéed mushrooms and onions.

Butterflied shrimp, coated in a Panko/egg mixture then pan fried, Southern style.

Steamed spinach.

Mashed potatoes with garlic and butter.

Dark chocolate and red wine for dessert.

Our local farmers' market re-opened last Saturday (not a lot, mainly brassicas and citrus) so I got some broccoli raab, turnips with greens, and beets with greens. I'm making a white bean soup with a left-over smoked pork shank (just the bones really), and will add some chili flakes, lemon juice, the raab, and the turnip greens just before serving - with a fresh sourdough baguette on the side.
