Maddie is a Paint mare. Here's another shot of her.

Are you a horse person?

Pete and Maddie are often featured in my Friday postings in this Forum.

I've been afraid to sit on one since I was a child. I took some riding lesson in my early 30s, but felt intimidated by the size of them.

Thank You for your kind comment.

You are not alone: when we boarded retired horses, there was one whose
owner was a young woman. The woman's mom was afraid of the horse.
Dad, however, was not and accompanied his daughter on visits to their horse.

Horses are LARGE animals after all. Their size can be daunting.
I'm glad you can see their beauty nevertheless.

You have to establish a relationship of trust with them before climbing on them.
