Related: About this forumSad but touching: Dog buries puppy
The New York Daily News has pointed to this sad but fascinating video of a dog meticulously burying the body of a dead puppy. Using its snout, the dog pushes sand over the lifeless body of the puppy in an apparent act of mourning.
Though the video's title suggests that the incident took place in Iraq, there's no indication whether the dog and the puppy were related.

Animals are often more humane than people.

to bury the pup with it's snout. Can you imagine all that sand! What an incredible thing to witness.
But.....it pisses me off that people just stand around and watch instead of helping. And what was that thing at the end where one of them throws something at the grave? I could never have stood back and watched without helping that dog.
