Related: About this forumMy baby Zoey got a clean bill of health Monday!
This has been quite a ride. Her eye, which had a corneal ulcer and an infection called Uveitis has healed. Upon suggestion of her doctor we had her coat cut short to eliminate dust which may have been a mitigating factor. The doc thinks she may have allergies so she will be getting Benadryl in the spring. She is walking with her sister and I now, and she even plays a little!

(12,153 posts)I am very glad that Zoey is all better now.
My poodle Ty is on Benadryl (2 cc a day of liquid Benadryl for children) all year round for his allergies, which, before we started him on Benadryl, clogged his Eustachian tubes and gave him bad ear infections. He's been on Benadryl for a couple of years now and his ears are much better. I take him to the vet to have his ears checked and cleaned every 2-4 weeks. Last week his ears were perfect, for the first time ever.
I don't know if there are any adverse effects from long term use of Benadryl, but whenever I've stopped giving it to Ty, he's developed ear infections.

(11,065 posts)Nothing like a clean bill of health. I'm so glad that you were able to get her eye problem healed up, and they can be so darn stubborn sometimes, too.
Zoey looks happy as can be having a snooze in her comfy chair. Her haircut looks natural, too. I would never guess that she had any cut at all. What a cutie she is!
