He was probably the smartest dog I ever had and he talked. Would just throw his head back and vocalize. I can still hear him greeting me when I would come home from work: "Where the hell have you been all day? Don't you know I want to pla-a-a-a-a-y?"

me too. I remember all of my dogs especially on their birthdays and the date they died and I cry - decades later...
