Under-reported news: huge animal rights protest in Tehran today.

It's a big deal for any protests to happen in Tehran, so this is very unusual. But it arose in response to a horrific incident where many street dogs were horribly burned by acid. My Persian friend posted a link on facebook, and I've downloaded a few of the photos to give you an idea how large a rally it was.
