Sadie is an 11-year-old family-oriented Golden Retriever who has never before shown aggression. Earlier this week, however, she became the best guard dog ever when she saved her human from an intruder at their home in Michigan. Her owner, Sarah Powers, was home and came out of the bathroom to find Sadie lunging towards a strange man standing in her home. He was viciously punching Sadie in the face, but the protective pup wouldn't back down, baring her teeth, growling, and trying to push him back with her front paws.

They are not usually the best guard dogs, but can be trained to bark and growl on command, as I trained my guy.
