Songs I sing to my furries

Mama cat Mojo has been stalking me today she wants me to go into the bedroom and lie down so she can sit on my lap and sleep. I'm sitting in the living room and she could sit on my lap here and be warm and petted. I have resulted in singing to her to get her to come over here and hang out with me. Her son Magic gets a very simple song just his name croonedand over and over again. The dogs have had more complex pop songs I don't know why I just know that dogs seem to like pop music that I sing to them better. Duke howevergot A whistled rendition of the theme from The Good the Bad and the Ugly, he lways a good dog but the way he moved was like watching a John Wayne movie that's why I was called Duke. Princess Peanut , got BrownEyed Girl because she was My Brown-Eyed & I promised she would only be my girl.

I know I am not the only one that sings to my furries, share please?.

Also a kittyfied version of "I'm too sexy for my shirt"--

"I'm...
...too cutesome for my tail
...too fluffy for my butt
I'm too fluffy!

I'm...
...too orange for my ears
...too playful for my paws
I'm too playful!

I'm...
...too twitchy for my nose
...too cutesome for my tail
I'm too cutesome!"

He regards it with tolerance and mild interest, as sometimes there are greenie treats in proximity.

amusedly,
Bright

I have a blind cat that was feral until a friend gave her to me when she was a couple months old. I brought the blind kitten (Echo), her sister and their mother into my house.

I have difficulty getting Echo to bond with me. Her sister has adapted to life inside very well and she lets me pet her, brush her, and occasionally she will sit next to me. The mother doesn't let me very close to her.

I think the sister has adapted well because she can see how my old man cat, 18 years old, interacts with me. He prefers my company to that of any cat. He's more like a puppy, always following me around, sitting and sleeping with me.

But since Echo is totally blind, she can't see that her sister and the old man cat trust me.

So I have started singing to her. She loves it! And believe me, I can't carry a tune. But when I sing to her or whistle a tune, she will come closer and tilt her head as she listens. It's very cute!

comes to me whenever I sing to him. No one did it when he was living with his previous family and I was just singing Christmas carols one day and he came to me. Now I sing to him when I want him to come in at night. He will go to anyone who sings to him actually. I just make up songs that come out sounding like Irish ballads.

His "brother" (grew up together but are not related) could care less - it means nothing to him when I sing to them.

it always scares my poor furbabies and they both hightail it to the back bedroom until I stop screeching. I do hum on occasion, and the one cat seems to tolerate my pitiful efforts to purr.

Lovely visit from a cat who has been dead 25 years. Really miss him. Bad. He would protect me from big dogs.

Good thing we're out in the country! Whatever music is running thru my feeble brain at the moment. Favorites seem to be Sweet Baby James (James Taylor), Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper), Iris (Goo Goo Dolls), Walking in Memphis (Mark Cohn), and Takin' It Easy (The Eagles). Sometimes its the theme from the original Star Trek (yes, it can be done). The animals seem to like it, and its a zen thing for mucking out stalls.

The dogs have been known to dance with me to the Russian dance from The Nutcracker......
