I know I could never foster puppies. I would never be able to give them up after a few months.

I'm a failed foster mom on several occasions over my life. Never regretted one of those failures either. Carmel and Licorice are "dangerous" to foster parents because they are so precious. Thank you for fostering them, minime.

I have nothing but respect for folks who take in foster animals.

I volunteer for a rescue organization, but they and I have come to accept the fact that I can't foster. The first dog we tried to foster, Maggie, has been with us for 6 years now and the other one we tried to foster, Cooper, has been with us for 3 years.

So instead we do pick-ups and transpo and home visits and the like.

let a foster pup go. I grew attached to these two just looking at their photos! Adorable little cutie pies.

I also love the smell of the nape of her neck. Luckily, she's 9 and does not have that kicking bad breath that some dogs have. I'm blessed. She's healthy.

A 'pick of the litter' deal. He started the puppies' solid food with Pablum, for some reason. To this day , I see a spaniel puppy and immediately think I smell Pablum.

But the rescue is the one who arranges the adoptions. They are both great pups.
