Muscovey's

Love our 'scovey ducks. Very different from our other ducks, with quirky personalities. Lately they've been having 'scovey parties on our metal roof, which can be nerve-wracking. They really fly, and can do a perfect 3-point landing from the roof down to the pond. They don't quack either.... they have these weird little alien language conversations with each other. Very entertaining to have around, and hoping to get some baby 'scovey's in the spring (if the dogs don't find all the eggs). We have 15 of them. The males are twice as big as the females, with beautiful iridescent green feathers on their backs and tails.

Quack.

A lot of them in the local park's pond, I don't think they are Muscovey's though.

I’ve seen them before, but I’m not sure if it was at our local city park back in Calie’ or somewhere else. They are definitely a different sort of duck.

The only place I have a problem with it is when they get into the barn cats food and water, but that's pretty easy to manage.

Clubbing them to death? Running over babies with a lawnmower? I have a real problem with that.
