Murder, she Barked

I love mysteries so found this book, by Krista Davis and the love of a dog is really catching and in every page. A Jack Russel Terrier that adopted the narrator, the heroine, and soon both became inseparable. And, yes, the dog had an important part in unmasking the murderer.

When the frightened dog ran away I could not put the book down until several chapters later when she was back, safe and sound.

The story, by the way, takes place at a a town called Wagtail, because it welcomes tourists and their dogs. And cats.

Just light and easy read, and these days I do need means to escape.

(I love being able to check out a Kindle version of a book at 1:30 am without leaving the comfort of home.)

I sounds like just what I need after all of the news of today.
