Many of our cats have done that over the years. One of our current 3 reserves his louder version for bigger birds like mourning doves. Doesnt take much note of the sparrows, chickadees and juncos.

She gets very excited and chirps extra loud
my cats Ive had over the years have made this noise, but not quite as loud as this guy!
