Beer for your dog? Busch Beer launches new 'brew' for canine companions

ST. LOUIS — Busch Beer is giving dog lovers an opportunity to safely crack open a cold one (or warm one) with their favorite canine companion.
The company has launched Busch Dog Brew, a safe drink for man’s best friend.
The “beer” is actually alcohol-free and is more like a bone broth treat for pets. Ingredients include bone-in pork butt, whole corn, celery, basil, mint, turmeric and ginger.

When the late and dearly loved and missed Alex the Wonder Dog was a puppy, we had a summer backyard beer & brats after work party. He was sweet tempered and loved having his ears rubbed, so he was a hit.

Some one left their partially filled solo cup on the grass, sniffy puppy found it.

We found him half hour later, asleep under the lawn chair, snoring, empty cup near by.

Always wondered if he had a hangover.

and lap up what was left in glasses left on the floor or on the coffee table, and then he'd sleep for the rest of the day. This was very odd because cats generally don't like the taste of alcohol at all.

Every night Mr. Lake has what he calls an ear and a beer.
It used to mean a piece of pig ears for the doggie and a beer for him. But ears are costly and fattening so now it’s a small treat.

Anyway I got the first hit of beer. Mr. got the beer and the dog got the very last bit out of the bottle.

Now our dog is small and he only gets a small treat.

I guess they are hoping pet lovers might spend their money on it.

Our dog always knows that if someone leaves the house around dinner time, they will come back with a pizza so only then will she leave her dog food untouched in her bowl, hopeful for a share of pizza. We never give her more than a small piece of crust, but she holds out that hope every time.

I had a friend whose Cocker Spaniel would climb up on the couch to look out the window exactly 5 minutes before the kids came home on the school bus. She even knew to do this when we turned our clocks back in the fall. It’s was just amazing.

...John Candy was sharing beer & snacks with the family dog!
People went nuts over giving the dog beer.
John had to tell folks, in an interview, that it was soda water with food coloring. Even he wasn't drinking real beer, let alone the doggie.
There was enough concern over it, that John actually addressed it.
I think it was on Leno, but not 100% sure.
